Threaded Rod

All threaded rod is available in different lengths depending on the material. For basic stainless such as 18-8 (304, ASTM A194 B8) or 316 (ASTM A194 B8M), 6′ and 12′ lengths are standard. On most other non ferrous materials, the lengths will vary. The mills that produce round bar in these materials usually ship variable lengths ranging from 10′ to 20′. Additionally, in the cut threading process, a few inches of thread is lost because it is needed to grip onto the bar. Lengths in our inventory will vary and some pieces may have a butt-end.

We will cut all threaded rod to simplify handling and prevent damage in shipping. Our standard shipping tubes are designed to handle 3′ or 6′ pieces.

Nickel Systems stocks all threaded rod in Hastelloy® C276 (Alloy C276), Carpenter® 20 (Alloy 20) and Duplex 2205. Other materials currently in threaded rod inventory include Alloy C22, Monel® (Alloy 400, Alloy 500), Nitronic® 60 (A193 B8S), 18-8 Stainless (304, ASTM A194 B8), 316 (ASTM A194 B8M) and 310 Stainless.
