Hastelloy C276 Fasteners

Nickel Systems’ most heavily inventoried material is Alloy C276. We strive to always have 1/4” through 1” diameter hex bolts in the most popular lengths in stock at all times. Of course, the accompanying nuts and washers are on the shelf as well. Our inventory of socket cap screws, socket set screws and square head set screws covers a large range of sizes. Alloy C276 is an extremely versatile material that has found usage in a wide variety of severe environments. It has shown corrosion resistance to chloride containing media, organic acids, oxidizing media, reducing acids, seawater and brine, and sulfuric flue gasses. Alloy C276 replaced Alloy C (UNS N10002), which contained slightly less chromium and molybdenum. The high nickel, molybdenum and tungsten content make it expensive when compared to austenitic stainless. By far, it is the most popular “Super Alloy”.

We regularly receive customer inquiries on fasteners made from a material that is less costly on a per pound basis, but not available in the finished form from anybody’s inventory. Frequently, we have the required part in Alloy C276. When the lead time and the cumulative costs of manufacturing are considered, Nickel Systems can often offer the customer an instantly available and more economic option.
