Allen Head Cap Screws
Allen head cap screw is another name for socket head cap screw. In 1943 the Allen Manufacturing Company of Hartford, Connecticut trademarked the name "Allen Keys" for its hex wrenches. Although the socket cap screw has been around longer than the Allen Key®, the popularity of the Allen product influenced terminology.

Nickel Systems maintains an inventory of socket head cap screws in Alloy C276 (Hastelloy C®) in both inch and metric sizes. Most sizes 1/2" diameter and larger are fully threaded. Current inventory in socket head cap screws includes A286, Alloy 20 (Carpenter 20®), Nitronic 60®, 310 Stainless, 330 Stainless, 17-4 PH, 18-8 Stainless, and 316 Stainless.
