Thread Rod Studs
All thread rod is available in different lengths depending
on the material. For basic stainless such as 18-8 (304,
ASTM A194 B8) or 316 (ASTM A194 B8M) 6' and 12' lengths
are standard. On most other non ferrous materials, the
lengths will vary. The mills that produce round bar
in these materials usually ship variable lengths ranging
from 10' to 20'. Additionally, in the cut threading
process, a few inches of thread is lost because it is
needed to grip onto the bar. Lengths in our inventory
will vary and some pieces may have a butt-end.
We
will cut all thread rod to simplify handling and prevent
damage in shipping. Our standard shipping tubes are
designed to handle 3' or 6' pieces.
Nickel
Systems stock all thread rod in Alloy C276 (Hastelloy
C®) and Alloy 20 (Carpenter 20®). Other materials
currently in all thread rod Inventory include: Alloy
C22, Monel® (Alloy 400), Nitronic 60® (A193
B8S), 18-8 Stainless (304, ASTM A194 B8), 316 (ASTM
A194 B8M), and 310 Stainless.
